Together with German colleagues, we received funding from the Minerva Foundation to organize a Minerva School in September 2022. The Minerva School “Social networks and health inequalities in ageing societies” will aim to establish interdisciplinary research collaborations that will enhance our understanding of the interrelations between social relationships and health in ageing societies.

The four-day school in Dortmund, Germany, will encompass keynote lectures from renowned researchers, as well as in-depth presentations on research findings and methodological aspects. In small working groups. The participants (PhD students and postdoctoral researchers from Germany and Israel) will develop concrete research questions, discuss adequate methodological approaches and locate data sources to answer these questions. The overall aim is to build the foundation for subsequent joint research projects.

The school is organized with Dr. Alina Schmitz, Dr. Judith Kaschowitz and Claudius Garten from Dortmund University.

Stay tuned for updates!
